This Privacy Policy explains how 1UP Media ("we", "us"), the operator of Route Posters at route-posters.com, processes data when you use our service. We follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The short version: Route Posters is a 100% client-side tool. Your GPS files (GPX, TCX, FIT, KML) are parsed entirely in your browser and are never uploaded to or stored on our servers. We do not require an account, and we do not store personal data ourselves.

When you upload a GPX, TCX, FIT, or KML file, all parsing and rendering happens locally in your browser using JavaScript. No file content is ever sent to our servers. We have no technical ability to access your GPS data. Your poster is generated and downloaded directly on your device.
We use your browser's localStorage to remember:
rp_consent)This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may log your IP address and request metadata as part of normal CDN operation. We do not process these logs for analytics purposes ourselves.
If you click "Accept all" on our cookie banner, Google AdSense will load and may set advertising cookies and collect data such as your IP address, browser type, and browsing behaviour to show personalised ads. This data is processed by Google under their own privacy policy. See section 4 below.
We do not set cookies ourselves. If you accept advertising cookies, Google AdSense sets
its own cookies (including IDE, DSID, and others) for ad
personalisation. See our Cookie Policy for a full breakdown and
instructions on how to withdraw consent or clear cookies.
The following third-party services may receive data (e.g. your IP address) when you use Route Posters:
We do not store any personal data on our servers. Your localStorage data stays on your device and is under your control. Google AdSense data retention is governed by Google's own policy.
Under GDPR you have the right to:
rp_consent) or by clearing
site data in your browser settings. This will re-show the cookie banner on your next
visit.
Because we store no personal data ourselves, most requests concern data held by Google or Cloudflare, which should be directed to those providers. For any questions, contact us at [email protected].
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority. In Sweden: Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY).
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
