Make a poster of your marathon

Every marathon finish tells a story — 42.2 kilometres of effort, strategy and determination. Route Posters turns the GPS track from your watch or phone into a striking wall poster that captures the exact shape of that journey. Upload a GPX, TCX, FIT or KML file, choose a visual style, and the editor draws your route, pulls your real stats (distance, time, pace, elevation gain) and assembles a print-ready layout.

The editor offers a range of map and non-map background styles — from a clean paper-white look to a dark contour-line theme — so you can match the poster to your home or the character of the race. Typography uses the Anton headline font and Archivo body text; all text fields are editable so you can change the headline to whatever the finish line meant to you.

When you are happy with the design, download a high-resolution PNG or a print-ready PDF at 300 dpi, sized for standard A3 or A2 poster printing at any professional print shop or online print service. No watermark, no subscription.

How it works

  1. 1

    Export your GPS file

After your marathon, export a GPX, TCX, FIT or KML file from Strava, Garmin Connect, Apple Fitness, Wahoo, Suunto, Komoot or your watch app. Any file that contains GPS coordinates works.

  2. 2

    Customise the design

Choose a preset style or adjust colours, background, route width, stat layout and headline text in the live editor. Changes render instantly.

  3. 3

    Download and print

Export a print-ready PDF or PNG. The PDF is sized for A3/A2 and rendered at 300 dpi — sharp enough for professional printing at any size.

Frequently asked questions

What GPS file formats work for a marathon poster?
Route Posters accepts GPX, TCX, FIT and KML files — the standard formats exported by Strava, Garmin Connect, Apple Fitness, Wahoo, Suunto and Komoot. All four formats carry the track coordinates needed to draw your route.
Can I add my actual marathon stats to the poster?
Yes. The editor reads pace, distance, total time, elevation gain and calories directly from your GPS file and displays them on the poster. You can toggle each stat on or off in the style panel.
What print size is the PDF export?
The PDF is rendered at 300 dpi on a 1080 × 1527 px canvas — proportioned for A3 (297 × 420 mm) or similar poster sizes at professional print shops.
