A half marathon — 21.1 km — is a significant personal achievement and a GPS file holds the entire story: every turn, every climb, your splits. Route Posters reads GPX, TCX, FIT and KML files from any device or app and draws the exact shape of your route onto a customisable poster canvas. Your distance, finish time, average pace and elevation gain are pulled directly from the file and displayed in the stat layout of your choice.

The editor gives you a choice of over twelve visual presets — light paper-white themes with a map-texture background, dark minimal styles with contour-line overlays, and gradient colour schemes — as well as full control over route colour, line width, start/finish markers and the poster headline text. All changes preview in real time so you can experiment freely before committing to a download.

When your design is ready, export a lossless PNG or a print-ready PDF at 300 dpi, sized to standard poster dimensions. Take the PDF to any online or high-street print shop and order an A3, A2 or 50×70 cm print. There is no watermark and no account or subscription required at any stage.

   Download a GPX, TCX, FIT or KML file from Strava, Garmin Connect, Apple Fitness, Wahoo, Suunto, Komoot or your GPS watch. Look for "Export" or "Download" on the activity page.

   Drop your file into the editor. Pick a style preset, adjust colours, choose a stat layout and edit the headline. Everything updates live.

   Download and print

   Export a 300 dpi PDF or PNG and take it to a print shop. Sharp at A3, A2 or any standard poster size.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work for any half marathon, not just the listed races?

Yes — you can upload a GPS file from any half marathon anywhere in the world. The listed race pages are templates, but the editor works with any GPX, TCX, FIT or KML file you provide.

Will my real time and pace appear on the poster?

If your GPS file includes timestamps (as most Garmin, Apple, Wahoo and Strava exports do), the editor calculates and displays your finish time and average pace automatically. You can toggle those fields on or off.

Can I order a physical print through Route Posters?

Route Posters exports a print-ready PDF — you can take that to any local or online print shop (such as Printful, Photobox, or a local copy shop) and order a print at A3, A2 or any standard poster size.
