The course is a single, largely flat loop through Frankfurt am Main, taking runners through the city centre and the Sachsenhausen district on the south bank of the River Main before heading west toward Hoechst and back. It is known as one of Germany's fastest marathons, finishing inside the Festhalle arena with a red-carpet stadium finish. Total elevation change across the course is under 30 metres.
Typical race-day conditions: Late October, cool autumn conditions around 8-15C, often favourable for fast times.
