The race starts and finishes at the 1912 Olympic Stadium and runs two loops around central Stockholm, crossing the city's islands and waterways. Runners pass the Royal Palace and Old Town (Gamla Stan) and cross bridges such as Djurgardsbron before a closing partial lap on the Olympic Stadium track. The course is rolling, with repeated bridge crossings, and is held on a Saturday afternoon rather than a Sunday morning.
Typical race-day conditions: Late May to early June, generally cool to mild around 12-20C, though afternoon starts can bring warmer spells.
