The point-to-point route starts on the North Shore around Milsons Point and crosses the Sydney Harbour Bridge early before winding through the city centre and out to a loop of Centennial Park. The course returns toward the harbour and finishes on the forecourt of the Sydney Opera House. It is net downhill but undulating, with notable climbs on and around the Harbour Bridge.
