The Vienna City Marathon starts near the Vienna International Centre, crosses the Reichsbruecke over the Danube and runs along the grand Ringstrasse past landmarks such as the State Opera, Schoenbrunn Palace and the Rathaus before finishing at Heldenplatz. The course is largely flat through the Austrian capital, with only minor undulations including a few bridge crossings.
